Nahanni - The final chapter
Update: Spring 2010
In April 2010, Parks Canada consulted Canadians on boundaries for the proposed Nááts´ihch´oh (pronounced nah-tseen-cho) National Park Reserve in the Nahanni Headwaters, adjacent to the recently expanded Nahanni National Park Reserve.
This is the final step needed to complete the vision of protecting the South Nahanni watershed.

Expanding Nahanni National Park Reserve
Thank you for your support. Your voice made a huge difference!
In June 2009, the Dehcho First Nations and the federal government announced the six-fold expansion of Nahanni National Park Reserve.
For many years CPAWS, local First Nations, scientists and thousands of Canadians have supported protecting the entire South Nahanni Watershed to secure wildlife, clean water and the wilderness values of this remarkable Canadian landscape.
Now we're working to complete the final step of protecting the Nahanni headwaters in the proposed Naats'ihch'oh National Park Reserve.
